Life Is Good

Was that a title to another post? It could easily be the title of all of them.
It has been a while, so I'll attempt to catch everyone up on what has been going on. It is a bit overwhelming trying not to miss anything, but I'll just try to get the key points. It may be a bit unorganized, but you'll get the point.

I am in Dillon, MT at the "Bad Ass Coffee" shop.
We rode 45 miles to get here and I have 26 more to go, but just taking the advantage of the time that I am in civilization.
It is fully light here until 10 P.M. so I don't really have to worry about getting on the road too very soon.
We stayed in Jackson Hot Springs last night and the people were really cool, the food and beer was great and the springs were boiling hot. Pumping out at 136 and the pool averaging 109 degrees.

The trip as a whole rocks!!! The sights and people and places have been amazing.
I love riding my bike and could do this forever.

The group now numbers 5. The two Englishfolk, Karli, Paul and Me.
We said goodbyes to the others in Cambridge.

I got to go rafting on the Lochsa River which, if you ask anyone around here, is a big deal and quite a privilege. It was amazing and I am so glad to have had the opportunity. I met some awesome people and they hooked me up with food, beer, a free rafting trip and a great party with about 50 people in the middle of the wilderness on the river. Awesome time!!!
(that is me on the back left)

Paul wrecked into Karli's trailer and broke his front wheel and fork. Got a bus to Missoula, got his bike fixed up and is now back with the group. Paul is awesome. (and of course so is Karli, but we all missed Paul)

Oh yeah, I bought a guitar and I love it. It is a 3/4 Art & Luthier made in Canada and is quite pretty and sounds great.
I'll take a pic soon.

I finally took care of the whole health insurance thing today and I'm quite relieved.
Also actually got some work done and quite stoked.

I'll try to get some more pictures up and a really cool map of places we have stayed ASAP.

I'm just plain tukered out thinking about U out there in that neck of the woods on a bike. I've been to a lot of the places you've shown in a truck, but on a bike, no way, whewwwwwwwwww! We're happy your getting the chance to see the US of A on your mode of transportation. Just keep the posts a coming! Sounds like your having a blast and can't wait to hear about them in person from you.
Linda and I love you too and wish you Happy Trails. May God be with U! Uncle John

Brian- thanks for giving me a chance to relive the trip I made back in '93. I even went rafting on the Lochsa. I'm enjoying the photos, especially the ones with the pass names, talk about some memories. Cherish the time, the trip goes too quickly.
