Woah, this place is a 10 minute drive from my house! Of course then there is a 4 mile hike and 2000+ ft of elevation between the trail-head and the lakes... Nice to be able to make it happen after a lazy Sunday and only deciding to head out around 15:30... I was the last man up (except for a couple of campers that were staying the night, I'll take my pack next time) and folks seemed pretty amused that I was just headed out when they had gotten their start at 10:00. Perfect time of day, perfect weather and a killer workout! Some of the best pics of the trip so far, so I had to post a lot... Saw beautiful waterfalls, old cabins and mine ruins, 5 different lakes and some MEAN mountain goats (look closely at the last pic, seriously that mama was not going to let me pass by without some sweet-talking/yelling).

Breckenridge Rocks!
I arrived in Breckenridge on Labor Day to an amazing sunset! Next day went for my first ride and was blown away from the beautiful scenery: golden aspens, mine ruins and thousand mile views!

Fun Times in Denver
Had an awesome time in Denver with Holly! Thanks for the hospitality and good times! Unofficial bicycle brewery tour Saturday, got tons of new gear for this winter at the Sniagrab Sale (Bargains backwards), Sunday-Funday around town and then Labor Day hike up in Boulder.

Sailing at WB
Had an amazing time sailing the ICW on a 100 year old wooden boat with Captain Brian and his great crew! He's invited me probably 20 times and I've always had conflicting plans... never again, from now on I'll bring my plans with me! Although he told me they wouldn't let me in for drinks at the yacht club with a sleeveless space-cat shirt... Glorious sunset, perfect wind and Tower-7 burritos after. Plus some free mega-top-shelf margaritas courtesy of my sweet past roomie Ashley... all just in time for an 11 o'clock code deployment. Just another day in the life!

Headed Home From Flagstaff
We headed north out of Flagstaff and stopped in Durango for a couple of days... made our home next to a beautiful river, had some fun rides and did some sight seeing in town.
Stopped through Colorado Springs and saw the Garden of the Gods. Pretty cool that it's just a regular ol' city park given to the city by the children of Charles Elliott Perkins so that it should remain free to the public forever!
Back home in Asheville, a rainbow seen from the grocery store parking lot reminds me of the many amazing rainbows seen in Sedona.
Got the house looking better than ever and in good hands while we travel far away... we'll miss our little home and wonderful Asheville, but looking forward to new adventures in new places!
